Terms of Use

1. What Localink is

Localink connects athletes, sports teams and brands so they can agree sponsorship partnerships. Brands and teams or athletes exchange structured offers, sign an agreement and pay through Localink. Localink is a platform: the partnership itself is between the brand and the team or athlete.

2. Who can use Localink

You must be 18 or over to create an account. A team or athlete under 18 may only be represented by a parent, guardian, coach or club official aged 18 or over, who agrees to these Terms on their behalf. You must give accurate information and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for everything that happens on your account.

3. Community rules: zero tolerance

Localink has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You must not post, comment, send or upload anything that:

• harasses, bullies, threatens or intimidates anyone;
• is hateful or discriminatory, including on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age;
• is sexual, pornographic or violent, or involves minors in any inappropriate way;
• is false, misleading, a scam, spam, or impersonates another person, club or brand;
• shares private contact details to take a deal off the platform, or someone else's personal information;
• infringes anyone's copyright, trade mark or other rights, or breaks the law.

We filter some objectionable language automatically. We may remove any content and suspend or permanently remove any account that breaks these rules, without notice.

4. Reporting and blocking

You can report any post, comment or profile using the “···” or “Report” buttons, and block any user. Reported content is hidden for you straight away. Our team reviews every report within 24 hours and removes content and accounts that break these Terms. Blocked users cannot see your content or send you offers. 5. Offers, agreements and payments

Offers are made in a fixed format: a monthly cash amount, a number of months, the sponsorship rights and any in-kind support (such as products, discounts or services). Every partnership includes a minimum cash amount of £10 per month for an individual athlete and £50 per month for a team. When both sides accept, the terms go into a written agreement that both sides sign.

The brand pays the total amount for the agreement once, through our payment provider Stripe. Localink keeps a platform fee of 10% and pays the rest to the team or athlete under the agreement. Each side is responsible for delivering what they agreed. In-kind support is provided directly between the parties. Refunds are handled under the agreement and our support process.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. You give Localink a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and share it inside Localink so the service can work. Partnerships you agree may be shown in the Localink feed.

7. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or put other users at risk. Agreements already signed stay in force between the parties.

8. Liability

Localink is provided “as is”. We do our best to keep it safe and working, but we do not guarantee that any partnership will be agreed or delivered. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer.

9. Changes and law

We may update these Terms. If we make important changes we will tell you in the app. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

10. Apple devices

If you use Localink on an Apple device, Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement also applies. These Terms are between you and Localink, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for Localink or its content.
